Morning Net Controller Information

every morning at 08:15 on 146.680 - VE7RNA

Anyone interested in becoming a net controller should contact any of the current controllers or contact the CVARS executive.

All controllers please submit any additions or corrections regularly. Thanks. Net Controllers rotation order. Normally the controller takes it from Sunday to Saturday. In the event that one is unexpectedly unavailable, we try to bypass to the next on the list, but on the understanding that this may create scheduling problems for the next controllers on the list and we MAY have the missing controller take a week ASAP so that the everyone is back to working the dates they expected. Controllers are expected to contact the next one on the list to make sure he is aware of the change.

Morning Net basic suggested wording for Controllers. Please make any modifications needed to make this 'your net'.

Welcome to the CVARS morning net. We meet every morning at 08:15 on 146.680 - VE7RNA, linked to the Island Trunk System. Net Control for this week is______________. My QTH is _________.
The purpose of the net is to keep in touch with members, pass on Society activities, and check on any sick or injured members.

Call for Bob VE7FTM.
Is the frequency required for Emergency traffic? Announcements from the Executive? Any other announcements? Birthday or Anniversaries? Weather Report (when Les VE7GBT is available).

Welcome Scanners, call for Mobiles.
The roll call will be by geographic location. Please check in when your area is called. If we miss you in rotation, we will ask for any missed check ins at the end of the net. If you need to break in when the net is in progress. Please say CONTACT and allow the Net Controller to recognize you. All calls should be given PHONECTICALLY.
